Linton McGee Collins (June 21, 1902-April 12, 1972} was a judge of the United States Court of Claims.
He was born in Reidsville, Georgia. Collins was nominated by President Lyndon Johnson to be a judge on the United States Court of Claims and commissioned on September 17, 1964 dying in office.
Collins graduated fron Mercer University, A.B., 1921 and received M.A., from Mercer University in 1922.
Linton Collins was in private practice, in Tampa, Florida, 1925–1926, and in Miami, Florida, 1926–1933. During this time, Collins was on the faculty, at University of Miami, 1930–1932. Collins then served as personnel director and division administrator, for the National Recovery Administration, 1933–1935. He became a first assistant to the United States deputy attorney general in 1935, rising to the office of special assistant to the Attorney General of the United States by 1944. Prior to becoming judge, Collins was in private practice, in Washington, D.C., 1944–1964.
